Haiti Project—May & June Focus
The focus agency for May is the Haiti Project. The Haiti Project helps to bring hope into the lives of the people, by giving them a chance at a better life. Please keep the people of Jeanette Haiti in your prayers.
Once again, it’s time for our annual “Linen Drive for Hope House”. The drive will run through Sunday, June 4. Given to the women and their children for use while at the Hope House, and later kept to help furnish their new permanent residence. There is an ever-present need for new and like new bed linens, blankets and towel sets. A marked bin can be found in the coat room for your donations. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you & God Bless,
Gary Heaney & Outreach Committee.
Different Language Readers Needed
Pentecost will be on June 4th. Once again, STOC will be utilizing those who can read in a foreign language for the Gospel Reading. Because this falls during the summer schedule this year, it also gives those from Rite I an opportunity to share their skills and participate. Please sign up in the Narthex if you are willing to read. We will schedule a brief rehearsal to coordinate our efforts closer to Pentecost.
Angel Garden Caretakers
Once again, we are asking for individuals and families to sign up for Weeding, Watering, Trimming and Fertilizing as needed and on a regular basis, for keeping the Church Gardens looking neat. There are a total of 10 areas that need attending to. Garden Angels – Please see the signup sheet with the map on the bulletin boards in the Narthex
Summer Coffee Hour Hosts Needed
We still have 4 available dates for coffee hour: June 25, July 16, July 23 and July 30th. If you are able to provide coffee hour for any of those dates, please let Kathie Hein know at 414-522-5300 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please know that what the coffee hour hosts choose to provide is their choice, and it can be as simple or elaborate as you desire. And whether you set up inside or outside is also at your discretion.
Vaccines offered for all
St. Thomas has worked with Greendale Health to share information about vaccinations. Your local health department is offering Tdap (tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis) vaccine to anyone child/adult. There will be a cost involved. Or you can go directly to your doctor, but the cost may differ between your doctor and your local health department.
Everyone should have a booster every 10 years. Check out this link to see if you are due: https://www.dhswir.org/PR/clientSearch.do?language=en
If this site does not hold your information, you can check with your doctor for your current immunization records.
